The Mid Valley Region Physician Recruitment & Retention Committee was formed in April 2021. Five of the Committee members are also members of the Board of Directors of Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation. As the Committee’s name suggests, its goal is to recruit physicians and other health care professionals to our area. But, more than that, there is a need to help these new medical professionals become familiar with the area, assist them with finding housing, completing government forms and registrations, etc.

To this end, the Committee recently appointed Don Hyslop as a Physician Navigator, as explained in the following Press Release:
