Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation Society was founded in 1972. Its Members meet annually to elect a Board of Directors which handles the business of the Foundation. The Foundation’s purpose is to finance equipment for Soldiers Memorial Hospital, as well as to finance programs that improve the health of the population in the area the served by the Hospital. It has no authority over Soldiers Memorial Hospital or other health-related organizations.
The Foundation is registered as a Charitable Society in the province of Nova Scotia. Its membership is comprised of appointees from the following organizations:
